| O artigo faz uma análise da forma de inserção da carcinicultura do Nordeste, em particular dos Arranjos Produtivos Locais - APLs de cultivo de camarão do estado do Ceará, em cadeias globais de produção, bem como sua estrutura de governança. | ABSTRACT Little is known about reproductive biology of endangered Steindachneridion parahybae , a gonochoristic teleost species inhabiting the Paraíba do Sul River Basin, and herein is the first description of intersex in S. parahybae juvenile. The normal appearance of ovaries and testes in juvenile from the same lot of breeding were also described for comparison, even as cytogenetic analysis was performed in these juveniles. | Leucism is an inherited disorder, characterized by the lack of pigments in part or all of the body, normal coloration of the eyes and, in birds, in naked parts such as the bill and legs. This kind of disorder is sometimes erroneously designated as albinism or partial albinism. In this study, we present a case of leucism in a wild owl. The studied individual presented completely white plumage, light-yellow coloration of legs and bill and normal coloration of eyes. According to morphological features, this owl is a specimen of burrowing owl, Athene cunicularia (Molina, 1782). | Fetal hydantoin syndrome (FHS) is a set of disruptions occasionally present in fetuses exposed in utero to phenytoin or other anticonvulsants. Administration of phenytoin in early pregnancy may impair proper psychomotor performance expected for children's development. Several combined phenotypic markers delineate the syndrome, but the presence of single clinical signs is more common. There is controversy about the etiology of FHS. Associated disruptions may be related to a deficiency in a detoxifying enzyme (epoxide hydrolase), vascular problems, and/or factors not yet known. | A case study of the effects of ship emissions on the microphysical, radiative, and chemical properties of polluted marine boundary layer clouds is presented. Two ship tracks are discussed in detail. <i>In situ</i> measurements of cloud drop size distributions, liquid water content, and cloud radiative properties, as well as aerosol size distributions (outside-cloud, interstitial, and cloud droplet residual particles) and aerosol chemistry, are presented. These are related to remotely sensed measurements of cloud radiative properties. The authors examine the processes behind ship track formation in a polluted marine boundary layer as an example of the effects of anthropogenic particulate pollution on the albedo of marine stratiform clouds. |

| The effects of anthropogenic particulate emissions from ships on the radiative, microphysical, and chemical properties of m(oderately polluted marine stratiform clouds are examined. | The significance of a break-even point analysis is much important to the small- scale enterprises in determining profit or loss incurred. In this study, a case study approach was used to test this concept on iru production using structured oral interviews and visual observation of a production centre in Nigeria. Data analysis was achieved using production cost, the unit quantity and break-even point analysis. | O município de Jaguariúna, estado de São Paulo, Brasil, apresenta uma população de seres humanos de 53.069 habitantes, segundo o IBGE de 2016, e uma população estimada de 8.262 cães e gatos. No ano de 2006, a prefeitura do município passou a realizar o projeto de castração permanente como estratégia destinada ao manejo da população local de cães e gatos. A partir do ano de 2008, a atividade passou a ser executada com a colaboração do curso de Medicina Veterinária da Faculdade de Jaguariúna (FAJ). | We provide information on the type specimens of Neotropical species of Buprestidae (Coleoptera: Buprestoidea) deposited at the Museo de La Plata (MLP). Among them, there are syntypes of 45 species of J. Obenberger, and syntypes, holotypes or paratypes of species described by C. Berg, A. Cobos and Ch. Kerremans, plus lectotypes and paralectotypes designated based on syntypes of Obenberger' species.
